She had lived in the area and this was one of the first places that she suggested when she heard we were visiting. This is a restaurant that was recommended to me by a friend from my work. It’s order at the counter so easy to split checks and you seat yourself after ordering. Overall, will definitely return on future trips to Asheville! If you have a sense of humor, be sure to scan it.

Speaking of the counter - there’s a QR Code for the free wifi. It’s a bargain at $2.75 as you can get free refills at the counter - I got mine to go as we were heading out to drive back to Texas. I also got a delicious Iced Pennycup Coffee which you can add Half and Half (or Oat Milk) to at the Jam Bar. My husband got the Filthy Animal ($14), said it was good, but would try something else next time. I love garlic but it was too much for me - worth a try though. I also tried the Garlic Paprika butter which was WOW. For sides, I tried my NC niece’s two favorites - Pimento Cheese Grits (I’m not a pimento cheese person but really liked them) and Sriracha Slaw (also not a coleslaw person, but it was interesting and not very spicy, happy to have tried but wouldn’t get again). My favs were the Sweet Potato Chai and Strawberry jams, but I also enjoyed the Apple Pie (they have little plastic cups so you can try a variety).

hard to decide, but I got the Full Breakfast ($11) so that I could sample two sides and have the large plain biscuit as a canvas to try the many jams at the jam bar.

So glad they did - really enjoyed the casual ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food. They recommended Biscuit Head where they ate regularly during their move / home renovation. I bit into it and could taste all the ingredients and realized it was not my vibe.

I opened the container and immediately noted that it was a really dense biscuit and my wife’s was more flaky and light. Although they have a mushroom gravy, its not vegan so the only option is the sweet potato curry option which is also disappointing for someone like myself who loves mushrooms. I ordered the biscuit and sausage along with the biscuit and gravy. The food was ready in about 10 minutes which was great! I grabbed three fun jams from the jam bar and couldn’t wait to get them with my biscuit sandwich. We pulled up to the Doctors Park location and there was a line out the door so we ordered online. We’ve been wanting to get back since so I was excited that they now had a vegan biscuit and sausage. I’ve only been vegan for about 3 years now and my wife and I tried this place about 5-6 years ago when we came to Asheville for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it.
